This kid is stoked! Thumbs way up to the NYC Feminist Zine Fest!

Thanks so much to everyone who was part of today. Y’all are all beautiful and inspiring and I hate writing things like this, I just love y’all enough not to give a fuck.

I made the most money I’ve ever made in a single day, and from my art and words of all things. Isn’t that not supposed to be a thing? I thought being an artist or a writer meant a terrible financial prognosis, let alone being BOTH.

I’ve been to a lot of comics/independent publishing conventions, and I have to say that sitting behind one of those tables feels so much better than walking around. I mean, I loved checking out other folks’ stuff, but it felt really great to be part of it, and to trade my work for theirs instead of coming in as a consumer. I walked away with more wonderful work than I know what to do with.
